What is Yaqat Qualitative Data Manager for Word?

Yaqat Qualitative Data Manager for Word (hereinafter, YaqatW), is a free Microsoft Word Add-in designed to support qualitative data analysis for academic and social research. YaqatW enables users to perform systematic coding, annotation, and thematic analysis directly within Microsoft Word documents.

How YaqatW Handles Your Research Data:
By default, all research data remains in your Word documents on your computer. YaqatW does not access, collect, or transmit your research data to external servers. Optionally, users may authorize YaqatW to sync coded research data to personal cloud storage accounts (Google Drive™, OneDrive, Dropbox, or Nextcloud) for backup and cross-device access. When authorized, YaqatW creates and manages application-specific files within a dedicated app directory in your cloud storage—these files contain only coded data and are never used to access or modify other content.
