Yaqat Qualitative Data Manager for Word

Yaqat Qualitative Data Manager for Word (hereinafter, YaqatW), is a free Microsoft Word Add-in designed to support qualitative data analysis for academic and social research. YaqatW enables users to perform systematic coding, annotation, and thematic analysis directly within Microsoft Word documents. The add-in allows users to store and manage coded research data locally and in their personal cloud storage services, such as Google Driveā„¢, OneDrive, or Dropbox, through user-authorized access.

If authorized by the user, YaqatW accesses and manages application-specific files and folders that are automatically created within the user's authorized cloud storage to support qualitative data processing. These files are generated and maintained by the add-in within a dedicated app directory and are not used to access or modify other user content. See the Privacy Policy for more details on data handling and security.

Who Should Use YaqatW?

Why YaqatW?

YaqatW is completely free because we believe qualitative research tools should be accessible to all researchers, regardless of institutional resources or budget. There are no subscription fees, no central accounts, and no hidden costs.

The source code is currently proprietary as we develop and refine the tool. However, we are committed to releasing YaqatW as open-source software once the project reaches broader adoption, benefiting the research community and enabling collaborative improvements.
